#8 - Cities Over My Shoulder

Print Available on Fine Art America.

This image is, to this day, one of my favorite in all the cityscapes I have ever drawn. The first goal of this image was to try taking up the whole page, after some friends suggested that my work was not “wall-hangable” for its use of white space. Instead of making a better use of white, negative space, I attempted to just take up the whole canvas, which was successful in some ways and less so in others. I’m still working on perfecting that, but I really enjoy this piece–especially the bottom of it.
