“Run After Me” is a transition piece. I began this piece in Korea, and used Korean designs, Korean buildings, and a Korean subway. By the time I reached the bottom of the image, I had been thrown headlong into Mumbai, a universe of its own. The subway reemerges as the Mumbai local train. The dark city stretches out in unexpected directions, narrow and careless. Henna designs take president over real imagery.
