I remember drawing this during a course, when everyone was talking about pretty and neat theories about theology and God. I did the outline first, just kind of doodling about how odd that conversation felt–like there was a whole messy world underneath this pretty suburban house. Everyone in the room pretended that these messy, scary, lovely things were so simple. So I drew it out. I didn’t return to color it until after the quarter was over, but I’m quite pleased with the result.
