#46 - Dignity and Style

I drew the majority of this piece while listening to a lecture given by Cornell West and Carl Dix, when they came to campus in May. It was a really inspirational lecture–despite the fact that both of the speakers disagreed on a lot of things, and that I disagreed with them on a lot of things too. You’ll notice that my notes from the lecture are off in the corner…. Heh. There’s a lot of little things in this one; trees, people, faces, notes, buildings, ghosts.. the whole shabang. Also these are notes, so none of these things are my personal opinion. Though I did work in some quotes that I liked particularly into the actual drawing.
